When NBAA’s six regional representatives are on the road, the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign’s many resources provide key talking points to highlight the value business aviation brings to all regions of the country.
“Face-to-face interaction is what business aviation is all about,” said Stacy Howard, NBAA’s Western regional representative, covering New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California and Hawaii. “Meeting personally with elected officials, policymakers and business leaders provides an important conduit for communication.”
This month, Howard spent time in California for Aerospace and Aviation Days at the Capitol, attended the first meeting of the Arizona Legislature’s Aviation Caucus and took part on the Nevada Airports Conference and Aviation Day events at the Capitol.
Howard arrives at these events with plenty of No Plane No Gain materials to illustrate how the companies that use business aviation are some of the most successful in the country.
“I bring our Business Aviation Leaders on Business Aviation booklets with me, as well as the NBAA Business Aviation Fact Book, and plenty of No Plane No Gain lapel pins, which people love,” she said. “I always pass out visual tools, like our new #BizAvWorks stickers to help NBAA’s aviation partners, such as airport managers and board members in their outreach efforts.”
Throughout the year, NBAA’s regional representatives deliver the No Plane No Gain message while attending dozens of local, state and regional events. Building relationships through personal meetings is a priority goal of attending these events to help those in attendance recognize the positive role that business aviation plays in their communities.
