When the Salvation Army needed help bringing supplies to Houston in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the business aviation community quickly mobilized to assist. “This has really been a great opportunity for pilots to come together and help the Salvation Army and fellow Texans,” said Robert Johnson, CEO of TeamSupport “Being able to help the Salvation Army and get disaster relief supplies directly to the people who need it is really a great benefit of general aviation.” As cleanup begins following Hurricane Irma, there’s no doubt the business aviation industry will once again step in to lend a hand.

The NBAA Humanitarian Emergency Response Operator (HERO) Database is a list of people in the business aviation community who are part of disaster-response mobilization efforts. In the aftermath of major crises, basic information from the database is provided to organizations coordinating relief efforts. Learn more about NBAA’s HERO Database.
