The Chicago Area Business Aviation Association (CABAA) recently released a video designed to inspire professionals to consider careers in business aviation. The video, “What is Business Aviation?”, features pilots, flight attendants, maintenance specialists and other industry professionals discussing what motivated them to pursue careers in business aviation and what they most enjoy about their careers today.
“A lot of people who think of careers in aviation immediately think of the airlines,” said Katy Glynn, chairman of the CABAA communications committee. “We are differentiating our industry and encouraging young people to think about business aviation as a career path.”
“With this video, we wanted to let people share their stories,” she added. “For these young pilots to say that CABAA was their door into the industry is a huge affirmation for us.”
CABAA’s video encourages those who are interested in business aviation to get engaged with the industry. Becoming involved in NBAA and regional business aviation associations, networking with business aviation professionals and seeking out mentors in the industry are all highlighted in the video as ways to enter the industry and start a successful career in business aviation.
