Indiana Flight Center

Brandon Herzog, flight department manager of Indiana Flight Center, knows that industry references, like the No Plane No Gain Business Aviation Fact Book help him present the case to community leaders that companies like his are important to the region.

“If we’re having conversations with new board members or new airport managers, I could share with them business aviation’s perspective on the use of the airport,” he said. “It’s nice to be able to share these things with airport management because a lot of times in small towns like ours, they may not know this stuff.”

Indiana Flight Center is a full-service fixed-base operation at Elkhart Municipal Airport (EKM) in Elkhart, IN, which provides fueling, flight training and aircraft maintenance for its customers. In addition to the center’s other activities, Herzog said the company also is a Part 91 aircraft management company with two Cessna Citations under management agreements.

Herzog said the Business Aviation Fact Book, and other resources, enable him to say, “You don’t have to take my word for it, some of these things I’m telling you are backed up by industry references.

“That’s always helpful in the conversation so you can push past the notion that it’s just this guy’s opinion,” he added.
