Four Arizona mayors issued proclamations this month, noting: “general aviation not only supports Arizona’s economy, it improves overall quality of life by supporting emergency medical and healthcare services, law enforcement, firefighting and disaster relief, and by transporting business travelers to their destinations.”

Arizona is home to 80 public-use airports, 68 FBOs, 140 repair stations and 25 FAA-approved pilot schools. General aviation supports more than $600 million in economic activity in the state.

To date, hundreds of state and local officials have issued such proclamations, highlighting the value the industry brings to their communities.
